Ambassadors Committee:

The objective of the Ambassadors Committee is to maintain and enhance a membership retention program that improves the relationship with our members and enhances the membership experience. The Ambassadors represent, promote, and encourage participation in the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. An Ambassador is an important part of the day to day operations of the chamber as they serve as the welcoming committee for new members, attend ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, Red Carpet Events, and assist at various chamber events. To find out more about how you can network your company though the Ambassador Program, contact Jo Ann Roberts at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Transportation Committee:
The Transportation Committee works in concert with the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the City of Macon, Bibb County, Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), and other interested organizations to support the MPO as they work to move our community’s transportation priorities forward.

Government Affairs Committee:
Government Affairs provides an opportunity for Chamber members and local officials  to come together and discuss issues of importance to the business community. This committee monitors state, national, and local ordinances/regulation that affect the quality of life in Bibb County. It keeps the Chamber’s membership informed about the details of proposed legislation and how it will affect their business and/or the region.

Safety and Environmental Committee:
The Safety and Environmental Committee provides members with environmental and safety resources to enhance their work environments--the committee includes both public and private sector representatives.  This committee meets the third Thursday of each month for a networking lunch, which includes speakers on various tops of interest and updates on issues of importance to committee members.

Military Affairs Committee:
The Macon and Warner Robins areas both serve as military communities.  As such, the chamber seeks to maintain an active role in supporting those involved in the 21st Century Partnership, the Middle Georgia Military Affairs Committee, and the men, women, and missions at Robins Air Force Base and the Air Logistics Center as well as the Guard and Reserve Units from the Middle Georgia area that have been deployed.  There is a $375 fee to serve on this committee; however, there are complimentary seats available to some levels of the Chairman's Club.

Leadership Macon:
Leadership Macon provides leadership training and community orientation to individuals seeking to become more involved in the growth and development of Macon and Bibb County. Visit Leadership Macon's website.

Young Professionals Network:
The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is an initiative to retain young professionals (ages 21-40) in Central Georgia with the goal to engage our region's emerging leaders in the community and provide a vehicle for them to connect with other emerging leaders throughout Central Georgia. YPN offers opportunities for social and professional networking, graduate outreach, professional development, and community service. All young professionals, including non-chamber members, are welcome to join and attend events and activities at their leisure. Visit us here on facebook!
