Message from the CEO: Macon-Bibb’s Economic Outlook for 2021
|
Each year, the University of Georgia compiles research and data to create an economic forecast for the year ahead. In this forecast, there is an overview for Georgia as a whole and an overview specific to each city in Georgia.

This year has been unlike any other and the data reflects that. However, the Greater Macon Chamber in partnership with One Macon will work towards focused goals and tactics to bring Macon-Bibb in alignment for work ready and work placement advances. This is the number one community priority to advance economic and prosperity goals in the coming year. The updates of our partnership and our strategies going forward will be announced in 2021.

Another project underway that will launch Macon-Bibb’s economic growth going forward is the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Commercial Vehicle Lane addition to I-75. The commercial lanes are game changers in connecting Macon as a logistics and fulfillment center in South East USA. Thanks to the Georgia Department of Transportation and our Commissioner Tim Golden for this timely update.
