The Blue Bird Vision electric bus has been named the Coolest Thing Made in Georgia following the Georgia Chamber’s annual competition.
Macon, Ga. (August 5, 2026) – Blue Bird Corporation (Nasdaq: BLBD) walked away from the Georgia Chamber’s annual Congressional Luncheon at The Classic Center with the title “The Coolest Thing Made in Georgia,” beating out a field of standout products chosen by public vote.
“We’d like to thank the Georgia Chamber and all of the voters for being named ‘The Coolest Thing Made in Georgia’ for our zero-emissions vision electric bus. This recognition reflects years of innovation, dedication and a shared belief that student transportation can be safer, cleaner and, yes, apparently cooler than we ever imagined,” said John Wyskiel, Blue Bird’s president and CEO.
The contest ran as a social media bracket. Georgia manufacturers, makers and creators entered their products, then went head-to-head across a series of rounds. The public decided who advanced.
“Public voting drove the entire contest, which makes the win land differently than an industry panel picking a favorite,” said Lauren Beaty, Blue Bird’s grants and community engagement manager. “Georgians looked at our innovative electric school bus and decided it belonged at the top.”
