Introducing the Taste of Macon Committee: Supporting Local Restaurants
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Taste of Macon Committee, a new initiative from the Greater Macon Chamber designed to support and connect locally owned restaurants and food service businesses. This group is all about creating a space where food industry professionals can come together, share ideas, tackle challenges, and grow as a community.
What is the Taste of Macon Committee?
Think of it as a resource hub and networking opportunity for Macon’s food service industry. With monthly virtual meetings and quarterly in-person gatherings—hosted at rotating member restaurants—the committee provides a consistent way to stay connected, share best practices, and brainstorm solutions to common challenges.
An executive board of local industry leaders guides the committee, ensuring every meeting is packed with helpful, actionable ideas. Whether it’s learning about new tools, like GreaterCareerWorks.com, or hearing from guest speakers with fresh perspectives, you’ll walk away with something valuable to apply to your business.
Why Join?
This committee is here to make your life easier. From tips on navigating workforce challenges to real talk about what’s working (and what’s not) in the local industry, the Taste of Macon Committee is about collaboration and solutions. Plus, it’s a great way to build relationships with others who understand the ups and downs of the restaurant world.
Save the Date: January 13, 2025
We’re kicking things off with our first meeting on January 13, 2025, and we can’t wait to see the energy and ideas this group will bring to the table. Whether you’re a restaurant owner, a food service professional, or an industry investor, this is your chance to get involved, learn something new, and help shape the future of Macon’s food scene.
