Macon Prepares for the 2025 State of the Community with Mayor Lester Miller
Mark your calendars—on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce is proud to host one of the most anticipated events of the year: the 2025 State of the Community, held at the historic Macon City Auditorium.
This year’s event will feature a keynote address by Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller, who will highlight the county’s achievements from the past year and unveil exciting plans for the future. Doors open at 11 a.m. with a Taste of Macon luncheon, followed by the mayor’s address at noon.
In 2024, Macon-Bibb made impressive strides—earning a spot as one of the Top 10 Metro Cities for economic development, celebrating the Great American Main Street Award won by NewTown Macon, and enjoying a record $458.3 million boost from tourism.
Looking ahead, Mayor Miller will share updates on transformative projects like the Central City Commons redevelopment, new infrastructure developments including the I-16 westbound ramp, and the future impact of the SPLOST extension, which will fund parks, community centers, and more.
This year brings something new—balcony seating is now available for individual purchase, offering greater access for community members. As always, sponsorships include a reserved table for eight, making it the perfect opportunity to bring your team or organization.
